MANHATTAN, NYC, NY -- The battle for the Tony Awards - theater's equivalent of the music industry's Grammy - is in full effect in New York City now, and with seven nominations, Triple Threat is sure to rake in a few.

Times Square is abuzz with the news of this new musical, although no one really knows anything about it at all.

Triple Threat, a new play about a play about a play, is touted as "revolutionary, like nothing else" by the New York Post. "Never before has a play been about another play about a play. It's brilliant."
Though no one Peoplewhomatter spoke with could actually remember the plot, characters, or music, everyone was stunned with the performance, and detailed storyline about a play -- three times over.
Critics of the production believe, however, that Triple Threat is highly plagiarized.
"They've taken the helicopter from Miss Saigon, the chandalier from Phantom, and the costumes from Cats to form a completely confusing and poorly-written production. It's no wonder Americans are eating it up like Godiva chocolate," explains Chuck Gorb, from the New Yorker Magazine.
The show's engagement at the Palace Theater will run for at least two months, and those in the industry believe it will outrun Cats.
Ex-Cats Castmember Dorothy Haggelman says, "The people want crap, they'll get it. That's what they got with Cats, and that's what they'll get with Triple Threat, McCrappetty-Crap."
